MakersLoft is Kolkata’s first ‘makerspace’ where Designers, Techies, Tinkerers, Hobbyists, Artists and Artisans come to create amazing products that they could not have done by themselves.
A ‘makerspace’ is a combination of an enabling community and physical space where professionals, students and hobbyists get access to professional tools, learn how to use those tools, meet and collaborate with other talented individuals to make things that matter to them and their community.
Fee Rs 6900 | This course spans 8 sessions where you will learn how to turn your idea into a product using high-end professional equipment like laser cutter.
15 sessions | Rs 9200 | Learn how to make 3D designs and models with SketchUp. Get introduced to the world of 3D printing and turn your ideas into real objects.
MakersLoft offers makerspace membership for use of the studio space and equipment for members to experiment, create products, prototypes, projects samples and more… The concept is similar to a gym membership, where for a monthly fee you can use the equipment and get help from trainers to have a healthy body. 10 sessions for 2 hrs each | Rs 6900/head | 1:1 session by appointment | Learn the basics of wood working, to identify different kinds of wood, how to cut and join wood, using professional hand and power tools. How to give a professional finish a piece by sanding, polishing, applying paint/varnish etc. Participants will make a wooden object and take it back with them.
Rs 4600/head | Always been interested in Herbal Dyeing but intimidated by the idea of cooking herbs for hours and not knowing what colour you will eventually end up with? Trying to figure out how to get a natural dyed fabric that is even colored and wearable? This workshop is for you! Doing Natural Dyeing using Indian herbs doesn’t have to be cumbersome and complicated.
